What You Said - 2015 Supporter Survey Results
Our recent 2015 Supporter Survey gave Panthers fans the chance to have their opinion of the current state of their club heard.
Here is what they said...
Who was surveyed?
A wide variety of Panthers supporters responded to the survey, with 70% of respondents holding a 2015 South Adelaide Football Club membership. Of those current members, 45% have been signed up for 10+ years, 17% between 5-10 years and 37% only holding membership in the last five years.
2015 SAFC Membership was a roaring success, with 89% of those surveyed declaring they were satisfied with their membership 34% very satisfied and 84% agreeing that SAFC Members receive value for money from their membership 24% strongly agreeing.
Of the 30% that were not members in 2015, 45% have been members in previous years, while 55% have never held a SAFC Membership.

Thoughts on South Adelaide Football Club Membership
When quizzed about which merchandise should be included in future Membership Packs the classic SAFC cap and scarf combination was hard to beat, receiving a 53% and 48% approval rate respectively. The idea of a member t-shirt (46%) was also a hot top, while many voted for the return of some old favourites in the yearly members badge (37%) and bumper stickers (36%).
Admission to games was the most popular benefit of being a SAFC Member, with 66% of supporters buying membership to get through the gate each week. Meanwhile, 53% of people are happy to part with their hard earned simply knowing that they are contributing to the continued growth of grassroots football. Access to Panthers News (42%), exclusive members merchandise (36%) and discounts at Jimmy Deane's Bar & Bistro (26%) were also amongst the most popular responses.
What is most enjoyable about football at Hickinbotham Oval?
No surprise that watching the mighty Panthers battle it out on the field was the clear winner when asked what the most enjoyable aspects of game day at Hickinbotham Oval were, scoring 94% of the vote from supporters.
Meanwhile, parking around the oval (38%) and kick and catch on the oval during breaks in play (32%) were also popular responses, proving that you can't beat the community feel of Panthers footy!
Results also showed that the wonderful work of SAFC volunteers does not go unnoticed, with the Panther Club Canteen (27%), SAFC Cheerleaders (22%) and Past Players & Officials Hut (16%) all appealing to the masses.
Also receiving votes: grandstand seating (24%), post-match presentations (22%), food and drink at the grounds (21%) and the family friendly zone (15%).
How should SAFC communicate with supporters?
Supporters preferred method of communication from the club was by email, which scored a 5.48 out of a possible score of 6, with mobile phone (3.99) and website (3.91) rounding out the top three.
The Club's three social media feeds then followed, with Facebook (3.64) a close fourth and Twitter (2.06) and Instagram (1.92) rounding out the voting.
Overall, 89% of supporters believe the Club's communication with supporters is effective 31% declaring it very effective.
