Welcome Will Splann
The Panthers Welcome Will Splann for 2025.
The South Adelaide Football Club is thrilled to announce the signing of key defender Will Splann for the 2025 season.
Originally from Tasmania, Splann made the move to Central Districts in 2023, making his debut in Round 9 2023 against Port Adelaide.
Standing at 195 cm, Splann played 10 matches for the Bulldogs over the past two seasons, showcasing his solid defensive skills.
At just 20 years old, Splann brings valuable aerial strength to the Panthers' defense, along with his no-nonsense playing style. His arrival will add significant depth to the Panthers' backline, offering strong support to veteran Jake Summerton and the reliable Sam Skinner and Oscar Clavarino.
Splann visited the club on Wednesday afternoon, eager to begin his journey with South Adelaide.
"I'm really excited to get stuck in, meet all the boys, and get to know the staff," he said.
When asked why he chose the Panthers, Splann highlighted the opportunity for more playing time and the chance to connect with other players from Tasmania.
"I think the Tassie contingent and the new opportunities are what I'm most looking forward to at South."
He also expressed his enthusiasm for helping the Panthers continue their growth.
"I'm excited to play a part in the club's ongoing development and success."
Senior Coach Jarrad Wright has expressed his excitement of the inclusion of Splann in the 2025 lineup.
"Will is a competitive key position player who is developing his craft as a defender and adds substance to our backline with his versatility and aerial game," said Wright.
"We're excited to have Will on board with the Panthers, and his profile aligns perfectly with our long-term strategy."
The Panthers welcome Will and his partner to the club.
