Welcome Back Jordann Hickey!
Jordann Hickey Returns Home
The South Adelaide Football Club is pleased to announce that Jordann Hickey will return to Noarlunga for the 2023 Hostplus SANFL Women's League Season.
Hickey played 4 games for the Panthers in 2021 before making the move to Woodville West-Torrens in 2022 due to work and living commitments.
When talking about making the return home to South Adelaide, Hickey said that a key factor was the Panthers connection with the Pinktails.
"They have been a huge part of my career and a massive support to me through out the years and I have missed having that connection to the program and to home." Said Jordann Hickey.
"Through my 4 games in 2021 I saw what a great, supportive club South is, and I’m excited to be back and a part of it again."
"South having the connection to the Redtails and the Pinktails is very important as it’s allowing very talented players who might not get the opportunity to play at a higher level because of where they live, and now still get the opportunity to be able to reach their goals and chase their dreams of competing at a higher level."
"The Redtails and the Pinktails provided me with the training and support to help me reach the AFLW and I’m now very excited to be back a part of the program to help support other players from home to try and do the same"
Hickey's return to Noarlunga will be the first time she will have the opportunity to play under Premiership Coach Rick Watts, something Hickey is looking forward to.
"I’m very excited to play under Rick, I’ve heard really good things both from people within and outside of the club about his values and coaching style and I think it will really suit how I go about my footy and I can’t wait to get started!"
"Can’t wait to be back a part of the the team especially with the great club culture that has been built over the years. And of-course getting stuck into some hard training and seeing what we can build over pre-season! "

Prior to coming to the Panthers, Hickey played 9 games for the Gold Coast Suns across 2020 and 2021.
Hickey also played 3 games for Bond University in the QAFLW after the Eagles season had finished.
"It's really exciting to welcome Jordann back to South Adelaide" said Female Football Manager Jonathon Parker
"We saw first hand what Jordann can bring, and with the right structure, not only will she be able to flourish but she will significantly bolster our team"
"Jordann is also perfectly allied with what we are looking to achieve as a club."
