Panthers Under-18s make it back to back wins.
After a dominant win in round 6, the Under-18s were looking to keep the streak up against Glenelg in a Saturday afternoon clash.
The boys came out swinging in the first term, really setting the tone for the rest of the day.
It took a few hard-hitting contests from stoppages before the ball was getting up forward and into the spots the boys wanted it.
Oliver Goss at the 7-minute mark would get a pressure release handball out back and run into his 35-metre bomb, kicking the first of the day.
Zebadiah Sinclair would follow up with his set shot from 40-metres out really giving the boys a boost early.
To finish off Dakota Sterzl put on his dancing shoes and got around his defender, kicked around the corner and slotted a major for the ages.
It was a great start for the Under-18s going up by 13-points. In the second term it came back into contention.
Both sides were going at it during the second both supplying two majors respectively.
It became congested, making it hard to operate. Cohen Shortridge and Ryan Borlace both doing well to help the squad with their majors.
Pressure was through the roof, Blake Florance leading the tackle count by the end of the contest with a respectable 5.
At the half it was still close, the Panthers only up by 14-points.
Goss kicked his second to get the term off on a good foot, but Glenelg ran the show throughout most of the quarter.
Luckily enough Phoenix Hargrave and Thomas Renshaw came to play late in the quarter, capitalising on Glenelg’s tired legs.
Giving the boys a nice 21-point lead headed into the final quarter. With the game still in contention a full quarter effort was needed.
Max Savage was critical in making sure the Under-18s got the result they wanted with his major early in the last.
Jesse Nye would follow up and it was becoming clear that the boys were nearly home.
Glenelg would claw back during the middle portion of the term, but it was too late, with Hargrave kicking his second major and solidifying his 23 disposals.
It was a gutsy win, and it took a whole four quarters to do it.
Their next game will come against Central Districts on Saturday the 11th at Flinders University Stadium in an 11:00am timeslot.

Harrison Davey was a massive component to this movement kicking two of his five majors in the quarter, firstly with a flashy one-handed grab followed by a crisp set shot, then later kicking one around his body after a silky clearance.
Holmes would slot two in this term, chasing his eventual five majors as well, both coming from lovely set shots.
Cain Florance, Oliver South, Koby Shortridge and Kodah Edwards would all add to the scoring tally as well, making their presence known.
It was electric all over the oval, the Under-16s were revved up and with a 38-point headed into the third term it was going to be hard to chase.
