The Under-18s were looking to redeem themselves after a big loss to Central Districts in round 5, a new round means another chance and West Adelaide were the team to beat.

After a West Adelaide major to start the contest, the boys were ready to unleash in the first. 

Benny Barrett doing well to secure his first after some clean footy saw him with a chance, obviously converting. 

The movement was effortless from the squad, and it would lead the ball back forward and into the hands of Dakota Sterzl 25-metres away from the pins, the set shot was crisp.

A lapse of scoring during the middle of the term would follow but a flurry was waiting. 

Barrett, Joseph Petrucci and Zebadiah Sinclair all kicking majors after the 20-mintue mark capitalising on the forward entries late.

The term would end with the Under-18s in the lead by 24-points.

In the second quarter it was a lot of the same, the Panthers were relentless in this term, only letting one major through. 

Making sure to prioritise on this and managed to kick a stunning four majors. Starting with Sterzl’s second. 

After the reply it was time for Phoenix Hargrave to go to work and that he did with his first major. His set shot looking smooth from 45-metres out.

Cohen Shortridge would continue his effort with two majors in the latter half of the quarter. Driving the squad to a 44-point lead at the end of the half.

West Adelaide would start the third with a major but just like the rest of this contest the under-18s would fire away, replying with four majors.

Brad Jackson looking silky with his major early in the term. It was incredible to watch the team go to work as every possession was directed with the intent of kicking majors quickly. 

Oliver Goss did well to kick his major after a lapse in the middle of the term. 

Jake Agnew and Sterzl in the dying moments of the quarter would extend the lead even further a display for the ages.

Headed into the fourth up by 65-points it was evident that the boys had done enough to get over the opposition. 

But it wasn’t enough five majors would follow. Hargrave would capitalise on his eventual 35-disposal game with two more majors back-to-back at the start of the fourth.

The play was clean all around the ground like it had been the entirety of the contest, Jay Chapman benefitting from this as he would kick his first in the term. 

Sterzl was a major contributor in the game securing his fourth major, while Shortridge would finish the onslaught with his third. 

The Under-18s were amazing in this game as they took West Adelaide to the cleaners, winning by a massive 97-points.

After that win the boys will look ahead to Glenelg on Saturday the 4^th of May at Flinders University Stadium in a 1:50pm timeslot.

After a loss against Central Districts the Under-16s were looking to get back into the winner’s circle, faced against West Adelaide in round 5 was a chance to do just this.

In the first term both sides were firing, the Panthers managing to reply well after a solid start from West Adelaide.

Out the gate the Under-16s had to lock in, being down two goals 5-minutes into the contest. It would start in the middle, and it was looking clean once the boys got their hands on the footy.

Kody Shortridge kicked the first of the contest just before the 10-minute mark, finishing off his hard work up forward.

Zemes Holmes would fire away in the contest, his first coming in specular fashion, dancing with his opponent on the 50-metre line, he was ready to tango and would unleash a kick while on the move, securing a major. 

The first term would end with the Panthers down by 9-points. In the second however it had South Adelaide written all over it.

Cain Florance securing one while on the move from 50-metres out early in the quarter.

The offence was flowing early, Holmes kicking his second just prior to 5-miuntes. 

Every possession was meticulous, and it was evident the boys were looking to put the opposition in the dust during this term. 

Harrison Davey would keep the scoring rolling with a major after a botched exit kick by Westies, capitalising on the mistake and kicking one while on the move.

The boys had the opposition exactly where they wanted them, the majors would end with a goal from skipper Kodah Edwards towards the end of the term.

Headed into the third up by 16-points there was still plenty of football to play.

The goal kicking wasn’t looking like it was going to stop in the early stages of the term. Angus White putting his kick to good use securing two majors in the third quarter.

It was inevitable that West Adelaide would start scoring again and that they did finishing the term with three majors. 

The Panthers still looking dominant in the quarter despite this, Mitch Clifton fierce at the opposition finishing with 6 tackles.

With one quarter to play and in the lead by 10-points it was still anyone’s game.

Callan Hart had one early to relive the stress. A plethora of minor scores would follow before the opposition would reply.

Luckily enough Holmes was on the ground as he would kick one late. Securing the win for the under-16s

Archie Van Dyk would lead all disposals with a massive 43 disposals, looking absolutely electric in this game.

With that win the next chance for the squad will come against Glenelg on Saturday the 4^th of May at Flinders University Stadium in a 11:30 am timeslot.
