South Adelaide unveils 2021 Indigenous guernsey
South Adelaide are proud to reveal their 2021 Indigenous Guernsey to be worn against the Eagles on Saturday.
Designed by Flinders University Student Mya Damon, who is currently studying a Bachelor of Archaeology, has an interest in modern and ancient history as well as visual arts.
As a Barngarla (Whyalla) woman born on Nawu country, Tumby Bay, Mya has a keen interest in archaeology which had begun through her Indigenous and European heritage.
"We're thrilled to once again have the support from Flinders University in producing this special guernsey" said South Adelaide CEO Neill Sharpe.
"There are many ways in which we can recognise, value and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's culture, and I feel that this certainly does that."
"Mya Damon is a very talented artist who is extremely proud of her heritage. We're thrilled to have had Mya design our guernsey."

The theme behind the design is connection, specifically the connection between the South Adelaide Football Club and the local Southern region.
When talking about the design, Mya said that it was great to be able to "include bright colours and symbols to symbolise coming together, community and connection."
On the front of the guernsey, the design shows meeting places and others coming together as one.
The back of the guernsey symbolises the Panthers connection to Port Noarlunga at Flinders University Stadium.
The Panthers will wear the guernsey against the Eagles on Saturday, and next week against the Crows at Victor Harbor for NAIDOC Week.
Match-worn guernseys will be available to purchase. More information to come.
