South Adelaide Mural
Flinders University Stadium is receiving a face lift as past and present Panther greats are honoured with a mural.
The South Adelaide Football Club is excited to announce that work has commenced on the painting of a mural at Flinders University Stadium recognising its past and more recent champions.
Southern Artist Morris Green has been charged with the historic project, which will honour the greats of the South Adelaide Football Club.
"Morris is an extremely talented artist and our members, supporters and the general public will get a sense of that very quickly as they watch the mural come to life" said South Adelaide CEO Neill.
"It will be a terrific celebration of the South Adelaide Football Club, but also a prominent piece of artwork in the south of Adelaide. I'm not aware of anything quite like it in football terms in the State".
The project has been in the works for some time which will give a sense of the proud 143-year history of the Panthers, as you enter Flinders University Stadium.
Over the coming weeks the mural will begin to take shape and will become an iconic feature at the ground.
It anticipated the mural will be completed in the next 2-3 weeks. Supporters and members will be kept updated on its progress over the coming weeks.
The South Adelaide Football Club thanks the City of Onkaparinga for their support of the project and the assistance of On-Site Hire.
