South Adelaide Co-captain faces an extended stint on the sidelines
South Adelaide Co-captain Matt Rose faces an extended stint on the sidelines following surgery today to repair a torn bicep tendon.
Rose also suffered a shoulder dislocation in the Round 1 victory over the Eagles.
South Football Manager Warren Ploenges said there was hope that Rose can get back before the end of the season.
"Matt's a very resilient character so you wouldn't put a line through him, but we understand it's a 10-12 week injury"
"We will wait and see how it settles down and go from there."
Ploenges was confident Mal Karpany was a good chance to take his place this Sunday after succumbing to a back injury in the first quarter.
"Mal has responded well to treatment this week, so appears to be a good chance of getting up."
"We will give him every chance of proving his fitness."
