SAFC x Flinders Foundation
Panthers Roar With Flinders Foundation.
An exciting partnership has been launched between South Adelaide Football Club and Flinders Foundation for the benefit of the Southern Adelaide community.
Flinders Foundation proudly supports Flinders University and the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – which includes Flinders Medical Centre, Noarlunga Hospital, the Repat Health Precinct, and community health sites in Southern Adelaide.
Working together with generous individuals and organisations in the community, Flinders Foundation raises funds to support health and medical research and improve patient care for a range of diseases and illnesses, from the beginning to end of life.
“Our goal is to help people live longer and happier lives, to spend with the people they love, and we do this by focusing on improving their health and wellbeing,” Flinders Foundation Executive Director, Ross Verschoor said.
“South Adelaide Football Club has a proud history and is a focal point for the Southern Adelaide community.
“The same can be said for Flinders Medical Centre, Flinders University and Noarlunga Hospital, where almost everyone in the south has been treated, worked or studied, or known someone who has, in their lifetime.
“It is important that organisations like ours come together to make each other stronger and to give back to the community we both serve.
"The partnership will see South Adelaide Football Club, its players and officials support and participate in fundraising activities which will be reinvested by Flinders Foundation to improve the health and wellbeing of the Southern Adelaide Community.
“It’s an extremely humbling experience when you get the opportunity to understand what an organisation such as the Flinders Foundation does,” said South Adelaide Football Club CEO, Neill Sharpe.
“Their drive and dedication to support health and medical research, as well as individual patient care, is inspiring.
“We are extremely proud to be able to partner with them and assist their critical fundraising initiatives.”
