Panthers vs Crows - Everything you need to know
The Panthers face the Crows as the Think! Road Safety SA Country Championships head to Victor Harbor.
Playing in the Southern country zone for the first time since 2017, the Panthers face the Crows at Victor Harbor Oval on Saturday afternoon.
The Think! Road Safety Country Championships will see approximately 250 male and female players and a further 200-plus officials from regional leagues across the State descend on Victor Harbor and Encounter Bay football clubs for the annual two-day carnival, which was postponed in 2020 due to Covid.
It is a great opportunity to head down and see the best from local leagues across the state, headlined by Round 14 of the SANFL StateWide Super League.
South Adelaide CEO Neill Sharpe is excited to be a part of a return of SANFL football deep into the Panthers Country Zone.
"We're grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the SA Country Champs, and look forward to bringing SANFL footy to Victor Harbor."
"It will be a great opportunity for Panthers supporters within our country zone to see the boys in action right on their door step. The pathway through our country zone is critical, so it's pleasing we can play a SANFL match in our backyard."
"Sam Overall gets a chance to play on his junior ground, while other former GSFL juniors in Ben Heaslip, Jake Tarca, Hayden Sampson and Liam Fitt are also able to run around on a familiar venue. I know there will also be some excitement with former Victor water boy Bryce Gibbs taking the field."
"We're looking forward to a big day of footy."
The Panthers will once again don their 2021 Indigenous Guernsey designed by Flinders University Student Mya Damon as part of NAIDOC Week.

Other
If coming from Adelaide, we recommend spectators take the take the Welch Road exit towards Encounter Bay at the roundabout at the intersection of Victor Harbor, Waterport and Adelaide Roads. This is also a quicker route than travelling through Victor Harbor if travelling from Goolwa, Middleton, Port Elliot and McCracken and more easily to navigate in buses or larger transport. Refer to the map in the link below.
Reduced speeds will be in place along Armstrong and George Main Road. There is no stopping/parking along Armstrong Road outside of Encounter Bay Football Club.
