The U18s played Sturt in Round 2 and gave a much better effort than the week before.
Apart from the second quarter when we were unable to match the oppositions hunger for the ball and contest, the boys stood tall and competed at the level required. In this quarter Sturt kicked 8 goals straight.
Our best quarter was the third when we managed to win enough ball both inside and outside the contest to allow us to kick 5 goals, 3 behinds.
Our best player was midfielder Joseph Tyllis, who worked very hard all day, played his role very well and made life hard for his opponents. Last week's best player, Coby Helyar was good again through the midfield (8 clearances) to be our second best this week, while third best was Adrian Albanese, who played a very good shut down role in our back 6 and beat his immediate opponent.

Coming off a Round One win against Glenelg on Easter Thursday the coaches and players were really keen to carry that momentum into the game against last years premiers Sturt.
The first 5 minutes we were very slow to man up on the opposition and we allowed them to chip the ball from one end to the other with very little pressure. However, once the players switched on we controlled the quarter with Bradley dominating in the ruck and giving our on ballers first use of the footy.
Despite the slow start we went into quarter time with a handy 5 goal lead.
During the second quarter our pressure and intensity fell away and we allowed Sturt back into the contest. It wasn't until midway through the 3rd quarter that we gained control with some strong work through the midfield as our intensity and pressure lifted.
The players refocused at 3 quarter time and managed to run away with a 10 goal win in the final term.
Douglass kicking 5 goals in his first game was excellent reward for his hard work.
We now look forward to round 3 where we head to Prospect to take on North Adelaide
