South Adelaide's Under-18s travelled to My Money House Oval on Saturday afternoon and brought home two points, recording a 14.15 (99) to 10.8 (68) victory over the Bulldogs.

On Saturday our Round 12 opponents were an improving Central Districts team.

For some of our more regional players that meant almost a two hours drive to get to the game.

It is always a concern when we travel away from home how we start the game and this week was no different.

We were very slow to buy into the contest and as a result were second to the ball more often than not.

The players were challenged to lift in all areas at the first break, while the coaches stuck with the same pre-game plan and positions.

It took a while to get into the game, but the players did lift their intensity and effort.

Some players were moved into different roles and that seemed to give us a better result around the ball and in our forward 50.

The third quarter was our best for our ball movement and scoreboard impact and we were able to stretch the advantage out to over six goals.

The final quarter was back in Centrals favour on the scoreboard and on the stats sheet.

We take the two points and get ready for a very difficult clash against Glenelg, who are coming off a big win, back at home from 11:25am on Saturday, July 15.
