Our Under 18's followed up strong win over Glenelg in Round 1 with a tough fought 11.16 (82) to 10.7 (67) win over Norwood in Round 2.
Norwood Jumped out to a good start kicking a couple of early goals which put us on the back foot.
We managed to kick two goals to even the game up before giving up a late goal to go into quarter time four points down.
We had a good second quarter driven by Luke Bogle, Reece Milsom and Tyler Davies getting a bit of the ball and Eamon Wilkinson kicking two goals.
This capped off a 5.4 to 1.1 quarter and gave us us a 27-point lead going into halftime.
Our third quarter saw us have multiple opportunities with twice as many inside 50's than Norwood, but be unable to convert as well as we would like kicking 2.5 and leaving the door open for the Redlegs.
Norwood came out strong in the last quarter kicking three goals in the first eight minutes to be back in the game, but to the credit of our boys we were able to fight out the last 18 minutes and with a late goal to Daniel Sladojevic with two minutes left to play we sealed the win.
Norwood were a good side and we will have to be on our game next time we play to get another good result.
This Saturday (April 14 - 11am) we travel to Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval to face another quality side in the Eagles, who are third on the ladder, so we are expecting another hard game.

South Adelaide's Under-16s fell to a 6.7 (43) to 17.13 (115) defeat in their Round 4 clash with Norwood at Hickinbotham Oval.
We came into Round 4 sitting with one win and two losses with a very competitive start to the season, after narrowly going down to Centrals, having a big win over North Adelaide and just falling short to Glenelg in the last quarter last week.
This week, we were outplayed in the first quarter and were not clean with the ball by hand or foot and Norwood hurt us on the rebound.
We started the second quarter much better and got ourselves back into the contest.
After halftime the boys did not come to play and Norwood punished our poor disposal and basic errors kicking 12 goals to just our four.
We will continue to work hard on the track and tidy some of our mistakes up.
Our best performers were Matt Roberts through the midfield and forward, Dylan Kleinig in a deep key defensive role, Nicholas Kraemer finding plenty of the football and Oliver Carpenter playing across half back and giving us plenty of run.
With a number of players unavailable this week it will give other players an opportunity.
