The South Adelaide Development Side puts on a historic display while the league team receives a tough loss.

It has been a fortnight since the impressive win against West Adelaide saw the league team remain as the only undefeated team in the competition.

Warm conditions would prove to be a major battle for South and Central District.

In very exciting news the Panthers welcomed four new debutants in Laquoiya Cockatoo-Motlap, Litonya Cockatoo-Motlap, Jodie Hunt and Taylah Levy.

Locked and loaded to provide an immediate impact. It was a tough first quarter as the opposition kicked away managing to hit the scoreboard hard garnering four major scores.

While the Panthers only kicked the one after an intense footrace saw Kyanne Campbell soccer the ball through.

The second quarter saw both teams go without a major score as it was a very hot football to get a hold of. Impressive showing from Senna Gulden who managed to see a lot of the ball.

The third term was an offensive flurry from both teams with the South squad trying to muster a comeback. This would become a major challenge when Central managed to kick two goals in the first ten minutes of the quarter.

However, the following five minutes had the Panthers written all over it. A composed passage saw the ball end up forward with Jorja Hooper who slotted it through for a goal.

A quick clearance and impressive skills from Elise Barwick saw a swift handball over two defenders land into Lily Baxter’s hands, after a quick adjustment on the run, it went through for a major score.

This however is where the comeback run came to a halt as Central District ran away with it.

It was a tough fight, but it was a standout performance from debutant Taylah Levy who gathered eighteen disposals on the game.

The league team will have a chance to bounce back next week against arch rivals North Adelaide.

After the impressive win a fortnight ago, it seemed like the development squad was ready to go at it once again. Faced with warmer conditions it was going to be an endurance battle.

To say they were ready for the challenge is an understatement. The scoring onslaught started when Nicole Mark had the first major score of the game. Providing a goal off of a contested football.

It would be Jess Kirk who made the breakthrough in the second term. After she laid a crucial tackle directly in front of goal. Validating the effort by getting the major score.

Shortly after this it was Bella Rigby who managed to get a hold of the leading kick forward. Providing another major score leaving the team up by 3.3 against a scoreless Central team.

This was not enough for the girls; they knew to keep their foot on the throttle. Making sure the next quarter would be a massacre.

The assault was started by Melissa Anderson, after a smooth pickup she got it onto the boot and slotted the goal just before the ten-minute mark.

It was not long until Rigby would read the play perfectly and get her second goal of the game.

With momentum behind them the continued efforts were rewarded as Abby Woodward got a free kick near goal. Making sure to get the major score.

Leading 42-0 going into the fourth it was possible to keep Central scoreless. As it would happen, they did exactly that.

With Anderson adding the final major score to the pile, when she kicked her second goal off of another slick pickup from a pack.

The offensive football displayed was nothing short of exceptional, but the work by players like Caitlin Radbone made it look easy for the girls.

The game ended with a score of 7.8-50 to 0.0-0.
