Past Players’ and Officials’ Association President Bob Swanson steps down

South Adelaide Past Players’ and Officials’ Association President Bob Swanson has stepped down from his position due to ongoing health concerns.

President for the last eight years Bob has been a member of the PPO Committee since 1990.

Awarded Life Membership of the Panthers in 2017 for his more than 50 years in involvement with the Club, which started when he joined the Cubs in 1964.

“Bob and his great mates David Earl and the late Gary Mousley have kept the Past Players’ and Officials Association ticking along for the last 20 years,” said Geoff Baynes, South Adelaide Football Club President.

“They’ve made the hut on the Hill a den of great support on game days, while conducting much needed fundraising for the Club’s football programs."

“We wish Swanny all the best and look forward to him and Caroline taking their spot in the hut on game days for future seasons.”

South Adelaide Past Players’ and Officials’ Association will elect a new President in the coming weeks.
