BETTA Teams Selection: SANFLW Round 3 v Glenelg
The Panthers welcome back some experience to face the Tigers.
After another heart-breaking loss to the Roosters last Saturday evening, the Panthers will look to reload against the Tigers on Sunday night.
For the first time in the SANFL Host Plus Women's competition all clubs will be celebrating Indigenous Round.
The game will also tie in with the Southern Football Leagues Reconciliation Action Play Launch which will take place earlier in the day.
2021 Best and Fairest Nicole Campbell who suffered a knock to the throat in round one will come back into the side.
Another two Panthers are a chance to make their SANFLW league debut with Holly Ifould (Willunga) and Maddy Rasmussen (Kenilworth) coming into the extended squad.
Nikki Gore is also a chance to play pending selection for the Crows.
The Panthers will feature across both teams three players that are part of the Pinktails program, that is designed to provide promising footballers in the Red Centre a pathway through to the elite level.
Shannon Hanning will again continue to hold her spot in the league side after a string of impressive performances, while Maya Jakubiszyn will take the field in the Development League and will be joined by Vanessa Stokes who will make her debut for the Development League side on Sunday.
Stokes has also represented Australia as a pitcher in softball.
Joining Jakubiszyn and Stokes in the Development League will be Breanna Maunard (Goolwa Magpies), Bessie Barrett (Happy Valley), and Kimberley Rowe (Yankalila) all coming into the extended squad.
Sunday afternoon football kicks off at 4:00pm with the Development League followed by the SANFLW League side at 6pm.
If you can make the game, all SANFLW and Development League matches will be streamed via SANFL Now, a new streaming service for all things SANFL.
