The Panthers return to Flinders University Stadium in a huge Queen's Birthday clash against the Redlegs.

Having scrapped out an ugly win over a plucky West Adelaide outfit last Sunday, the Panthers turn their attention to Norwood, who come off a tough one point loss against Glenelg. 

More importantly for the Panthers, club stalwart Joel Cross will bring up his 200th SANFL Statewide Super League match on Monday afternoon. 

There are several forced changes as the Panthers Fowler Simmons Injury List has been hit hard. 

Tyson Brown went down late in the contest last week with an ankle, while Liam Fitt was injured in the Reserves match. 

James Loneragan was a withdrawal due to an hand injury that happened at training late last week. 

Of the Panthers core league squad, eight players are currently on the injury list.

However, this will present an opportunity for Jesse McKinnon, Damon Freitag, Danny Juckers and Darnell Tucker who all come into the extended squad. 

Jake McCreery is also a chance to make his SANFL Statewide Super League debut having been named in the extended squad, and Jaidan Kappler should be available for selection should he pass a fitness test. 

In the 262nd meeting between the two teams, the Panthers hold the best record in last quarters having won seven from nine in 2021, while the Redlegs are six from nine in first quarters. 

Turning the attention to the Reserves, it is another important game, as a win could see the Panthers draw level on points with Norwood and reduce the gap to the top four to just two games. 

All the action kicks off from 11:30am with the Reserves, followed by the League at 2:10pm at Flinders University Stadium.
