Panthers Head West to Battle Bloods

South Adelaide's senior women will look to maintain their stranglehold on top spot of the SANFL Statewide Super Women's League when they clash with West Adelaide on Saturday night.

The Panthers put themselves a game clear of second after taking down North Adelaide last weekend and can tighten their grip on securing Finals qualification (top 3) with a win under lights at City Mazda Stadium.

Three forced changes will be made to the victorious Round 6 side, with Mykala Walker-Murphy set to miss the trip to Richmond with a back injury, while fellow debutant Czenya Cavouras and tall forward Mollie Mckendrick are unavailable for selection due to commitments made prior to the Club being awarded a SANFLW license.

However, South will be boosted by the return of co-captain Lauren Buchanan, who has overcome a leg injury suffered in Round 5 that made her a late withdrawal against the Roosters.

Also in line for a potential return are forward/ruck Danielle Goding, midfielder Helen Maidment and forward Bronwen Bosley. All of which have been named on an extended interchange.

Young forward Taylah Eastwood could also make her SANFLW debut if she survives the final trimming of the Panthers bench on Saturday afternoon.
