South face high-flying Roosters

After a week off over the State Game bye, South Adelaide return to action against a top-of-the-ladder North Adelaide outfit at Prospect Oval.

The Panthers will be boosted by the return of co-captain Joel Cross, who missed the win over Central District a fortnight ago due to family reasons.

Key forward Ben Haren's inclusion could be the Panthers answer up front as Sam Overall prepares for a stint on the sidelines after hurting his foot against the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, experienced defender Tarak Redigolo and young goal sneak Cody Szust have also worked their way onto an extended bench as small defender Robert Irra misses due to State Under-18 commitments. 

A familiar name will front up in the Reserves, as Hayden Sampson, son of former Panthers captain, best and fairest and coach Clay Sampson, will play his first senior game of the season.

Fellow Under-18s prospect Jonty Manuel and former junior Bailey Snelling are also set for their first appearance at senior level.
