The Panthers look to kick off 2024 with a number of new faces
The Panthers look to kick off the 2024 Hostplus SANFLW Season with an clash against West Adelaide on Friday night.
Returning to Thebarton Oval for the first time since the 2020 Grand Final, The Panthers could have up to seven debutants donning the jumper for the first time.
After narrowly missing out on ultimate glory in the 2023 decider, the Panthers will be looking to bounce back and go one better in 2024. Adding to the excitement, South Adelaide has bolstered its squad with seasoned campaigners such as former Redleg Morgan Johnston and Rooster Chelsea Farr, who bring a wealth of experience to Flinders University Stadium.
Adding to the squad is the return of former Crow and Docker Nikki Nield to Flinders University Stadium, alongside former Power players Laquoiya and Litonya Cockatoo-Motlap. Rising talent Rania Shelford, hailing from the Pinktails/Rovers Football Club, is poised to make her mark with her SANFLW debut.
Bonnie Dodds (Angle Vale), and another three local products in Layla Vizgaudis (Aldinga), Zoe Flesfadar (Port Noarlunga) and Carly Milsom (Blackwood) are also a chance to make their first start. Additionally, the return of 2019 Premiership Player Emily Brockhurst after a two-season hiatus adds further depth to the squad.

Meanwhile, the Development League team, under the astute leadership of Head Coach Ryan Skouboug, looks to build on their maiden Premiership last season, setting the stage for another successful campaign.
A notable change for the season ahead is that all SANFLW league matches will require tickets for entry, with tickets available for purchase at the gate.
