BETTA Team Selection: Round 1 v Centrals
The Panthers are set to have up to 11 debutants to kick off the 2022 SANFL Hostplus League Season.
Having had 52% list turnover from 2021, the new look Panthers are set to hit the ground running against the Dogs on Saturday afternoon.
Amongst these new faces are key recruits in Ryan Garthwaite, Jye Menzie, Sam Ramsay, Elliot Dunkin, Harrison Gunther, Oscar Clavarino, Oscar Brownless and Ollie Davis.
There will be however a familiar face in Keegan Brooksby who is set to play his first game back with the Panthers since the 2018 Elimination Final.
Local recruit Reece Slape will also make his SANFL League debut following good showings in the trial matches.
Panthers Pathway products in Issac Birt and Lachlan Hayes are both a chance to make their League debuts along with Rhys Mutch who is also a chance.
The Panthers will be without skipper Matt Rose and Co-Vice Captain Matthew Broadbent.
See the Dr. Jones and Partners Injury Report.
Meanwhile, the new look Reserves under new Head Coach Alex Pigou will be looking to get off to a good start.
Pigou has spent the last two seasons under the tutelage of Under-18 Head Coach Mark Clayton as a line coach for the Under-18s.
A number of Under-18s from 2021 have made the next step to Senior Football including Dylan Brown, Cooper Rogers, Hugo Hoeck, Riley Jones and Shannon Jones
The triple treat of Panthers football kicks off with the Reserves at 11:30 am followed by League at 2:10 pm and Women at 4:50 pm
