The South Adelaide Football Club is proud to announce its leadership group for the 2025 Hostplus SANFL season, reinforcing a strong and stable foundation as the team pursues success.

With a blend of experienced leaders and emerging talent, the Panthers are well-equipped to take on the challenges of the upcoming season.

Jake Summerton will once again lead the team as Co-Captain, continuing to set the standard both on and off the field.

He will be joined by Sam Skinner, who also retains his role as Co-Captain for the second consecutive year. Skinner’s leadership and experience make him an essential figure in shaping the team’s direction for 2025.

Summerton expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the club once again.

"I'm truly honored to be named Co-Captain of the South Adelaide Football Club, alongside Sam again," said Summerton.
"It's a privilege to work together in leading our team, and I'm really excited about the direction the club is heading. With the talent and determination we have, I'm looking forward to a successful season in 2025 and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together."

Skinner echoed Summerton’s sentiments and is eager to guide the Panthers once more.

"I’m really eager to lead the team again with Jake this year. We each have our own strengths as leaders that I think really complement each other. That, paired with another solid preseason with our group, really excites me for season 2025." said Skinner.

Adding further stability, Oscar Clavarino will continue in his role as Vice-Captain for a second season, providing invaluable insight and composure to the leadership group. His presence ensures consistency and reinforces the club’s vision for sustained growth and unity.

Eamon Wilkinson and Ollie Davis will also remain key members of the leadership group, offering guidance and support to their teammates.

Meanwhile, Liam Fitt and Callum McCarty have been elevated into the leadership ranks for the first time, a testament to their dedication, hard work, and natural leadership abilities demonstrated throughout the preseason.

Senior Coach Jarrad Wright is excited to see the pair step into leadership roles in 2025.

"Jake and Sam did an incredible job last year guiding and leading the youngest team in the SANFL," said Wright.
"Their leadership styles complement each other, and together, they help the group grow and mature as our young team continues to understand the expectations and standards of league football."
"Jake and Sam are both team-first players and outstanding clubmen, and I am looking forward to seeing them lead the club again in 2025."

The selection process for the 2025 leadership group was carefully undertaken by the coaching staff, who identified individuals that embody the club’s values and demonstrate a strong commitment to success. Fitt and McCarty stood out for their emerging leadership qualities, earning their well-deserved places within the group.

With the 2025 season approaching, the South Adelaide Football Club looks forward to the impact this leadership group will have—guiding the young playing group and driving the Panthers toward a successful year.
