2023 Pinktails Guernsey
South Adelaide announce 2023 Pinktails Clash Guernsey.
The South Adelaide Football Club is excited to unveil their 2023 Pinktails Clash Guernsey designed by Anmatjere woman from Alice Springs, Shannon Hanning.
The story that the design tells is one of commitment and leadership that recognises the impact that every person has towards making the club South Proud.
When talking about what it means to have the opportunity to design the guernsey, Shannon said that it was an honour.
"It is an absolute honour to design South Adelaide’s clash jumper for the 2023 season. It means that I could showcase my appreciation through cultural expression using artistic design to tell a story of the Panthers family and journey." Said Shannon Hanning
"The Panthers family journey has been such a positive and empowering experience both on and off the field, as when you are part of a safe and supportive environment with people that believe in you and want to see you succeed, the impacts and outcomes go beyond football. "
"I designed this jumper alongside my Redtails Pinktails coach and mentor Rob Clarke."
"Our vision was to incorporate the Pinktails journey from Central Australia to joining and being part of the PANFS in the SANFLW."
"This journey is about coming together in a culturally safe environment which empowers leadership and drives transformational development physically and mentally for all"
The Panthers will wear the jumper for the first time tomorrow night against Norwood, something Shannon is really looking forward to.
" I am extremely excited and proud that they will be wearing the jumper that I have designed as it represents everyone’s journey and their story with the club, their commitment, strength and passion for the game.
South Adelaide Female Football Manager Jonathon Parker said it is fantastic to have the opportunity to celebrate the South Adelaide and Pinktails connection.
"It's really exciting to be able to have Shannon design our clash guernsey."
"Not only does this allow us as a club to celebrate First Nations People all season long, but to have Shannon, who played 5 games for us last year before unfortunately going down with a ACL, design the jumper incorporating our strong connection with the Pinktails is fantastic"
"I know our players will wear this jumper with pride and are really excited to play in it this weekend."
The Panthers will wear the Pinktails Clash Guernsey in games in which there is a jumper clash during the 2023 Hostplus SANFL Women's League Season.
