Nick Liddle joined South Adelaide in 2010 from the VFL’s Coburg and quickly established himself as a standout midfielder. Known for his tenacity, skill, and remarkable consistency, he made an immediate impact by winning the Knuckey Cup in his debut season. Over his career, he would go on to claim this prestigious award five times, equaling the record held by Club legend Jimmy Deane.
Throughout his 192-game career with the Panthers, in which he kicked 96 goals, Liddle’s dedication to excellence saw him receive numerous honors. In 2011, he was runner-up for the Magarey Medal, and in 2018, he claimed the R.O. Shearman Medal, cementing his status as one of the SANFL’s most respected players. His elite performances also earned him selection for the SANFL State Team three times (2012, 2013, and 2014) and seven appearances in the SANFL Team of the Year.
A four-time Players’ Player Award recipient and the Fans MVP in 2017, Liddle’s contributions both on and off the field earned him Life Membership at South Adelaide in 2017. His induction into the Hall of Fame honors a legacy defined by dedication, resilience, and unmatched skill.
