A devoted clubman and leader, Geoff Baynes played 185 games for South Adelaide, winning three Knuckey Cups (1977, 1978, 1979) and captaining the team from 1978 to 1981, including leading the Panthers to victory in the 1978 and 1979 Escort Cups. Known for his resilience and sportsmanship, Baynes also represented South Australia in 1979. Beyond his playing career, he held key roles, including chairing the SAFC Match Committee and guiding football operations as General Manager. His legacy of dedication on and off the field secures his place in South Adelaide’s Hall of Fame.
